Pig carcasses were found in piles in the Huanghe, a major river in China, and municipal authorities investigated.

According to Ban Yuetan, a magazine published by China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency on the 21st of the local time, dozens of pig carcasses were found in the Yellow River basin in Inner Mongolia in northern China.

The corpses were scattered on the banks or shores, and some were submerged. Part of the corpse was decayed, revealing the bones.

The Banwetan side accidentally discovered it at a place they visited to cover migratory birds.

On the 16th, 26 pig carcasses were found in five places along the Yellow River Embankment, about 30km away, and on the 20th, more than 20 pig carcasses were found several tens of kilometers away.

Local residents said they did not know where the carcasses of the pigs came from.

Residents are expressing concern.

Ban Wetan said, “The weather is rapidly warming as spring comes and the carcasses of pigs are decaying rapidly. Local residents are worried that pigs killed by disease can be a terrible source of infection.”

According to Chinese regulations, animals that have died from disease must be incinerated or buried. If you need to bury it, keep it away from drinking water sources and rivers.

China’s state-run Global Times said, “The local government has formed an emergency response team to investigate the incident, and the bodies are being collected and disinfected in accordance with the relevant regulations.”

He added, “The public security is conducting an investigation at the site, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is collecting samples and conducting epidemiological investigations and tracking work.”
