The second son Jeon Jae-yong, 57, said that former President Chun Doo-hwan, who is suffering from dementia, was greatly pleased with the news of his son’s admission to the seminary.
On the 5th, Jeon Jae-yong and Park Sang-ah appeared on the Far East Broadcasting ‘The Story I Want to Meet People’ and announced that they are studying at the Graduate School of Theology to become pastors.
Jeon Jae-yong said, “I was caught in a parking lot on the morning of July 1, 2016 on my way to work, and spent 2 years and 8 months in prison.” I heard that I wanted to worship too much.”
While in the prison, Mr. Jeon said that he helped worship in the prison and read the Bible sent by his wife and the books of Pastor Yangjae Kim.
Next, Mr. Jeon said, “My father is currently suffering from dementia, so I forget that he brushed his teeth, but I was very pleased to hear that I entered the seminary and walked as a pastor.”
When Mr. Jeon heard the words of the former president, “If you become a pastor, I will definitely attend the church you serve,” and he made up his determination as a pastor.
But his wife, Park, said he was opposed to becoming a pastor. Mr. Park said, “I was absolutely opposed to becoming a pastor,” he said. “We are sinners by anyone’s eyes, so we want to hide our belief in God, but if we were to become a pastor, it seemed to cover the glory of God.”
Next, Mr. Park said, “In fact, I never thought of rice, laundry, and cleaning as my job, and I thought that I could live a life that I enjoyed for a while.” I got to know my subject of people, and I am so grateful now.”
