Editorial Writer Shin Yeon-su, Dong-A Ilbo, announced that he resigned from the company on the morning of the 28th. This decision was made immediately after receiving the notice of the exclusion of editorial members.
Commissioner Shin said on his Facebook page, “I have finally become a free man. “I resigned to the company,” he said. “In the meantime, when I write a column, readers often commented,’Is this the Dong-A Ilbo right?’ and’Is he not fired yet?’ At that time, I thought,’How much do I contribute to changing the image of the Dong-A Ilbo, so am I fired?’,’I need a company, so I’ll use myself.’ It was an illusion.”
He also said, “I am very excited to quit the company I have been in for 31 years.” This is because it was speculated that the internal conflict caused by the Dong-A Ilbo tone and other columns led to the resignation.

Commissioner Shin said in a conversation with Media Today on the morning of that day, “I think my role in this company has been fulfilled. There are a lot of juniors coming up.”
On the 27th, Shin received an instruction from the company, that is, to work as an editorial board member. There is also a story inside and outside that Commissioner Shin can no longer hold a pen. It is reported that it has been assigned to a department dedicated to corporate-related advertising articles.
In a column titled “Why the Prosecutors Don’t Reflect” on the 24th, Shin referred to the case of Kang Ki-hoon’s will in 1991. I did” he criticized. It was a direct hit against the prosecution who manipulated the investigation.
In this column, Commissioner Shin said, “The prosecution’s’care for one’s own family’ is a level that cannot be left anymore.” “Even if Prosecutor Im Eun-jung and Seo Ji-hyun shout so much, corruption inside the prosecution is not properly investigated. Kim Hak-e’s former Vice Minister of Justice’s alleged bribery and sexual entertainment interfered with the police investigation, and the prosecutors who were recently entertained in the room salon also prosecuted only one out of three people with a strange calculation.”
After questioning the prosecution’s ability to self-determination, he said, “We need to separate the power of prosecution from the power of investigation, remove excessive power, and create a separate agency that can prosecute investigations if the prosecution is wrong. He stressed that the people must keep watch until the end to be reborn as a democratic and balanced prosecution.” This column is devoted to the’prosecution reform’ led by the current government and the ruling party, which shows a big difference from the existing tone of the Dong-A Ilbo.
Shin, who started his career as a reporter for the Ministry of Culture in 1990, served as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economy and Politics, Head of Internet News Team, Head of Industry, Deputy Director, Deputy Head of Channel A Press Headquarters, and Editorial Writer for Dong-A Ilbo.
