Dodgers and Bellinger
Contracted for damage.
MLB.com, the official website of the major leagues, said on January 16 (Korean time) that “The LA Dodgers signed a contract with Cody Bellinger to avoid a salary adjustment.”
According to MLB.com, the Dodgers have signed a one-year contract with Bellinger of $16.1 million. Bellinger, who signed an annual salary contract of $11.5 million last year and recorded the highest amount in the first year of adjustment, saw an annual salary increase of $4.6 million this year.
Bellinger had a somewhat disappointing 2020 season. He won the National League MVP with .305/.406/.629, 47 homers, 115 RBIs and 15 steals in 156 games in the 2019 season, but in the 2020 season, he hit .239/.333/.455 with 12 homers and 30 RBIs and 6 steals in 56 games. I stopped recording.
However, he was still excellent in defense and made a strong impression by shooting a decisive home run in the postseason. (Data photo = Cody Bellinger)
