Just before he died due to abuse of his adoptive parents, the doctor who examined Jung In and reported child abuse to the police recalled the last appearance of Jung In, saying, “I don’t know if this is the correct expression for a 15-month-old baby, but it was desperate or resigned.”
On the morning of the 5th, Mr. A, a pediatrician, told MBC radio’Kim Jong-bae’s attention’ on the appearance of Jung In-i, who came to the hospital on September 23 last year. There were three reports of child abuse before Jung In-i passed away, and Mr. A is the last reporter.
He confirmed the abuse situation at the time and reported the abuse to the police, but was not accepted. Eventually, on October 13, 20 days later, Jung In, who was brought to the emergency room of a hospital in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, died while undergoing treatment with a bruise all over her body.
Mr. A said, “Jeong-in is not a child I have been treated often, and he has been treated 8 or 9 times, including vaccination, from the end of January 2020 to the day of the report.” He brought me to the hospital saying that he didn’t look so good, and at that time, I saw Jung In in two months, but the nutritional status and mental status seemed so differently poor,” he explained.
“The director also said that he saw Jeong-in for the first time that day after seeing it within a month or two,” he added. “There are 15-month-old babies, but in the case of Jeong-in, he couldn’t walk well and was drooping in his arms.”
Mr. A said, “In fact, about May before that, when the daycare center teacher first reported child abuse, police officers, child protection agencies, and parents had come to the hospital to check the possibility of child abuse for bruises on the inside of the thigh. In addition, in June, Jung-in brought the child with him, and the left clavicle was swollen. Even when he came for vaccination in July, there was a deep and big wound in his mouth that was difficult to explain. Looking at this figure, I thought it was a serious child abuse, as if it were a puzzle.
Also, “I remember that the police were dispatched to the hospital fairly quickly after reporting. During that time, I told you about the medical examination process for Jung In in detail, and I spoke quite strongly in my own way.” The protection agency officials and Jung-in said that they would go to see their parents, but after that, there was no contact, so I was only thinking that some action would have been taken.”
Mr. A said, “I think that the fact that child abuse reports were filed three times should have taken appropriate measures in some way, even if there were no clear legal evidence during the investigation process.” “There is a possibility that child abuse is not true.
