DLSS applied to The Fabled Woods, System Shock, and Crysis Remasters

In March, new DLSS games using NVIDIA DLSS such as’System Shock’ demo,’The Fabled Woods,’ and’Crysis Remastered’ will appear like comets. ‘Outriders’ is also bundled with GeForce RTX-based laptops.

-Quickly implement DLSS with DLSS UE4 integration

Last month, NVIDIA announced that game developers could access DLSS through a plugin for Unreal Engine 4.26 (UE4) to make it easier to add technology to their games. Game developers are quickly taking advantage of this technology as the new’The Fabled Woods’ and the’System Shock’ demo appear as the first games to add DLSS using a plug-in.

-The Fabled Woods with ray tracing and DLSS

In less than a day, startups CyberPunch Studios and Headup Games implemented DLSS in The Fabled Woods:

“Thanks to the Unreal Engine 4 plug-in, we could easily add NVIDIA DLSS to The Fabled Woods to significantly improve performance,” said CyberPunch Studio founder Joe Bauer. “It was an easy decision, and a whole new world of developers could use DLSS.”

The result is a performance boost of up to 1.6x in 4K, allowing gamers with GeForce RTX 3070 or higher to experience The Fabled Woods with full settings and full ray tracing features at 3840×2160 at 60 FPS or higher FPS.

The Fabled Woods with Ray Traced Reflection, Ray Traced Shadow, and Ray Traced Global Illumination (made using NVIDIA’s optimized RTXGI SDK) will be released on March 25th. With NVIDIA DLSS, the frame rate is greatly improved, resulting in smoother gameplay and overhead that enables high-quality effects, higher rendering resolutions and additional ray tracing for maximum immersion.

-Transformation of classic game:’System Shock’ demo with DLSS applied

Night Dive Studios remakes the entire game with Unreal Engine 4 for’System Shock’ in 1994, one of the most influential’immersive simulation’ action adventure games of all time for the experience of a new generation of players.

DLSS has more than doubled the 4K frame rate in games.

“The Unreal Engine 4 plug-in makes it easy to add NVIDIA DLSS to the game,” said Matthew Kenneally, lead engineer and title director at Night Dive Studios. In fact, we launched the game last weekend. “Our team is excited to bring System Shock to a new generation of gamers. The impact NVIDIA DLSS will have on the player’s experience is undeniable.”

With this tremendous speedup, most GeForce RTX 30 series desktop GPUs maximize the graphics of System Shock at 4K and deliver a super smooth play experience at 120 FPS. All GeForce RTX GPUs can reproduce system shock at 144 FPS or higher at 2560×1440, most of which exceed 240 FPS.

You can try DLSS now with a free Steam demo.

-Crysis Remastered: DLSS support

Crysis from Cryteks remastered last year to add a new look to the classic shooter released in 2007. Thanks to NVIDIA DLSS support through a recent patch, graphics performance can be further improved.

Only GeForce RTX GPUs have Tensor Cores that support DLSS, and more than 40 titles currently use DLSS. GeForce RTX brings PC gamers the ultimate experience in leading Triple A titles and indie games.

-Outriders bundled with NVIDIA laptops

Outriders of’People Can Fly’ and’Square Enix’ have been praised since the demo launch in February. Nvidia supports DLSS for the game to be released on April 1. NVIDIA is currently offering outriders’ digital Steam copies to buyers of participating partners’ GeForce RTX laptops.
