Indonesian national football team coach Shin Tae-yong, who was diagnosed with a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) and recovered after treatment, is on his way home by air ambulance in Jakarta on the morning of the 27th (local time). Director Shin said that Corona 19 was negative after treatment, but other chronic diseases worsened, so he decided to seek treatment in Korea.

Earlier, coach Shin suspected that he was infected with Corona 19 due to fever symptoms, sore throat, and loss of appetite after the coaches were diagnosed with Corona 19 from early this month. However, the negative test was repeated over and over again, so I couldn’t get any treatment and suffered weight loss. He was diagnosed with Corona 19 only on the 20th as a result of the fourth gene amplification (PCR) test, and was admitted to a general hospital in Jakarta on the same day.

Director Shin conducted a close examination during the hospitalization process and found that the chronic disease had worsened independently of the Corona 19 infection, and confirmed symptoms such as some water filling in the lungs while undergoing treatment. Director Shin said it was not easy to get treatment for chronic diseases locally, and according to the wishes of his family, he decided to receive treatment at a large hospital in Seoul.

He recovered from the Corona 19 infection and received a negative test result on the 26th, but he chartered an air ambulance at his own expense, seeing that it was not suitable for riding a regular airliner. The air ambulance used by Director Shin was introduced by the Korean Embassy.

The Indonesian Football Association announced in a press release that “Shin has recovered from the Corona 19 infection, but has agreed to temporarily return to Korea because he wants to meet his family.”
