Louis Vuitton Men’s exclusive store for men, Louis Vuitton Men, currently has six stores nationwide. Starting with the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch in 2016, it is operating the Shinsegae Main Store, Centum City Store, Apgujeong Galleria Luxury Store, Lotte Department Store Avenuel World Tower Store, and Busan Store.
The reason Hyundai Department Store opens Louis Vuitton Men on the men’s floor is because the number of luxury men is increasing. In the second half of last year (July-December) of Hyundai Department Store, sales of the’Men’s Luxury Hall’ increased by 14.4% compared to the second half of 2019. In particular, sales of male customers in their 30s and 40s surged by 106.8%.
Galleria Department Store also saw a 18% increase in men’s luxury goods sales last year compared to the previous year. This is twice the growth rate of women’s luxury goods sales (9%).
Accordingly, department stores are eager to attract men’s luxury brands. Hyundai Department Store set the concept of the 4th floor of the Apgujeong Main Store last year as a men’s luxury hall and named it’Men’s Luxury Hall’. Following Gucci Men’s, Balenciaga Men’s, Ralph Lauren Perflavel, Loro Piana Men’s, and Prada Uomo in January of this year, they opened one after another luxury men’s brands. This year, the second domestic store for Louis Vuitton Men and Italian luxury Dolce & Gabbana Men is also scheduled to open.
