The situation has been waiting for the vaccine as much as this, but countries that have been holding less than the contracted one continue. Following Pfizer, AstraZeneca also delayed the supply of vaccines. European countries have even announced a legal response, saying it was a violation of the contract.

Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has announced that the vaccine supply will be delayed on the 22nd local time.

AstraZeneca plans to deliver approximately 80 million doses of vaccine to 27 countries by the end of March this year.

However, there was a setback, such as a fire at a factory in India that recently commissioned vaccine production.

AstraZeneca did not disclose how much the supply would be delayed.

However, Reuters quoted an EU official and reported that “the first quarter supply will be 31 million batches, down 60% from expected.”

Earlier, Pfizer also announced that it would reduce its vaccine supply due to construction of a production facility in Belgium.

The European Union has an emergency in its vaccination plan.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on his Facebook page that he would take legal action, saying it was a “serious breach of contract.”

Austria, Poland, and Sweden, which are non-EU members, all announced that they will respond.

Interest is the vaccine our country has decided to receive.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said, “There is no change in the supply plan so far.”

He said he had not received any separate contact from the vaccine company regarding the supply disruption.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that it will receive AstraZeneca vaccine that is commissioned by a Korean company from the first quarter.
