Anthem’s’re-creation’ project, which started with seasonal updates and cataclysmic content, to reverse the evaluation of the game, has collapsed in about a year.

On the 24th (local time), bioware general producer Christian Daily announced the abandonment of Anthem’s reinvention plan’Ansome Next’ based on a long-term plan. The minimal follow-up support that maintains the current situation will continue in the future, but there will be no major update that will reverse the evaluation of the game like No Men’s Sky.

Since then, the project seemed to be cruising as Bioware regularly communicates the progress of Anthem Next. However, in December of last year, a large change in personnel occurred inside the company, and Anthem Next also faced a crisis. In early February of this year, EA announced that it would decide whether to continue Anthem Next in the near future, and the sense of crisis for the project reached its peak.

In the end, it was concluded that the Anthem Next project was discontinued. Bioware plans to focus on the upcoming Dragon Age and Mass Effect projects under development and the quality upgrade of the online MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic.

“I know this news will be very disappointing for Anthem users,” said Christian Daily. “This decision was not easy. Thank you for your passion and creativity.”
