Days ahead of visit to America, Pfizer vaccine released on the 16th

[아시아경제 최동현 기자] Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will be vaccinated against Corona 19 on the 16th.

According to Kyodo News on the 15th, Prime Minister Suga will be vaccinated with Pfizer’s Corona 19 vaccine on the 16th as part of preparing for a visit to the United States for a meeting with US President Joe Biden earlier next month. Prime Minister Suga plans to complete the second vaccination every three weeks.

The vaccination scene on the 16th will be released to the media.

The Japanese government plans to minimize the size of the delegation to accompany Prime Minister Suga’s visit to the United States, and make sure that all members of the visiting group receive two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Suga is 74 years old this year and is an elderly person over 65 years old, so he originally planned to get the vaccine in time for the vaccination of the elderly starting on April 12th. However, as the date for the U.S.-Japan summit was set earlier than expected, both Suga and other U.S. visiting groups had to advance the vaccination date.
