The price of gasoline sold at gas stations nationwide has risen for 16 consecutive weeks and is close to the average of 1,500 won per liter, while the daily gasoline prices in Busan and Gyeongnam have far exceeded the average of 1,500 won per liter.

According to’Opinet’, Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price information service on the 14th, the average selling price of ordinary gasoline (hereinafter referred to as gasoline) at gas stations nationwide in the second week of March (March 8-11) was 1498.6 won per liter, up 15.6 won from the previous week.

Looking at the sales price by region, Busan recorded an average of 1,495 won per liter, up 24 won from Jeonju. In Ulsan, an average of 1,490 won per liter increased by 16 won, and in Gyeongnam, an average of 1485 won per liter increased by 18 won.

Seoul, the nation’s highest priced area, averaged 1586 won per liter, and Daegu, the lowest priced area, averaged 1471 won per liter.

This week, the third week of March, the rise in gasoline prices is showing no signs of slowing down.

As of the 14th (at 4 p.m.), the daily gasoline price was 1506 won per liter in Busan and 1503 won in Ulsan, surpassing 1,500 won in both Busan and Ulsan. It was close to 1,500 won in Gyeongnam province at 1497 won.

The sales price of diesel at gas stations nationwide was also calculated at 1298.5 won per liter, up 15.4 won from the previous week.

International oil prices, which continued to rise for 4 consecutive weeks and then fell shortly last week, turned upward again in the second week of March.

The average price of Dubai oil, which is the standard for crude oil imported into Korea, rose by an average of 3.4 dollars from the previous week to 66.7 dollars per barrel.
