The city of Daejeon will start vaccinating against Corona 19 in February. The vaccination target is 1.23 million people over the age of 18, and it has been announced that the’Vaccination Promotion Team’ has been formed for quick and safe vaccination.
On the 19th, the city of Daejeon announced through a briefing, “The’Corona 19 Vaccination Promotion Group and Council’ was formed on the 16th for the quick and safe vaccination of the Corona 19 vaccine, and a support system for full-scale vaccination was established.”
The promotion team will organize and operate four teams, headed by the Vice Mayor of Administration, ▲ Implementation Team ▲ Vaccine Supply Team ▲ Vaccination Agency Management Team ▲ Adverse Response Management Team.
Specifically, the Implementation Team is in charge of the vaccination project, such as establishing and implementing vaccination plans, supporting vaccination plans in autonomous districts, and operating various councils.
In addition, the vaccination center management team designates and manages the vaccination center, inspects the site division of the vaccination center facility and commissioned medical institution, and the adverse reaction management team manages adverse reactions caused by vaccination and promotes compensation for damage.
In addition, the city of Daejeon announced that it has formed a separate council for flexible business cooperation with related associations such as local doctors and nurses’ associations. The council will take on the role of operating the field communication system through support for medical personnel, rapid response cooperation in case of adverse vaccination reactions, and medical advice.
According to the government’s vaccine supply schedule, the city of Daejeon announced that it will be vaccinated with AstraZeneca vaccine in February, Janssen and Modena vaccine in the second quarter, and Pfizer vaccine in the third quarter, and the vaccination will be completed by November. However, the vaccination schedule is flexible according to the government’s vaccine supply schedule.
The number of vaccination targets in Daejeon is 1.23 million over the age of 18. Among them, about 690,000 people are recommended for priority vaccination, such as medical personnel, group facility workers, elderly people, and education and childcare facility workers. According to the guidelines of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the city of Daejeon plans to expand the number of vaccination targets sequentially after vaccination of those recommended for priority vaccination.
Daejeon City Health and Welfare Bureau Chief Jeong Hae-gyo said, “We will make every effort to ensure that the corona 19 vaccination can be promoted smoothly by establishing a close cooperation system with related organizations through city and district policy meetings and meetings with heads of health centers.
