Samsung Lions second baseman Kim Ji-chan, whom he met at Gyeongsan Ball Park, said about his goal to achieve through the spring camp.

Kim Ji-chan said, “Last year, I mainly played contact-oriented swings after playing, but I felt that there was a lot of shortcomings in the hitting part.”

Currently, Kim Ji-chan has increased his weight by about 5kg during the off-season. It is to increase the strength and make a stronger swing.

Kim Ji-chan said, “In the off-season, I increased my weight by about 5kg by adjusting my diet and weight. He said, “It’s because I’m trying to hit a strong ball, but I feel that there is a lot of power to hit.”

Kim Ji-chan, who participates in the spring camp for the first time this year, expressed regret for training in cold weather.

Kim Ji-chan said, “I am satisfied with all aspects, including food and training plans, but I am sorry for the cold weather because I cannot do spring camp abroad.”

The Samsung Lions recently renewed a contract with 55 players, and Kim Ji-chan was the player with the highest salary increase in the club.

Kim Ji-chan, who played 135 games last year, jumped from 27 million won in annual salary to 70 million won, a 159.3% increase.

Kim Ji-chan said, “The club took care of me well, and I have a big idea that I should do better than this year’s salary. This year, we will look better than last year. “Everyone on the team wants to play autumn baseball. I will make every effort to play fall baseball.”
