In Daegu, a couple doctors in their 60s who run a nursing hospital are the first to receive a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine.

The city of Daegu announced on the 25th that the first vaccination of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be given to Hwang Soon-gu (61) and Lee Myung-ok (60), who are running the hospital at the Hansol Nursing Hospital in Buk-gu, Daegu around 9:30 am on the 26th.

According to the city, the hospital has no corona 19 confirmed cases as workers and inpatients actively participate in periodic preemptive examinations. Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin visits the hospital on this day to encourage the couple and medical staff.

In Daegu, vaccination begins on the 26th, and nursing hospitals finish the first vaccination by the 10th of next month, and nursing facilities finish the first vaccination by the end of next month. Workers at high-risk medical institutions will start vaccination from the 8th of next month, and the first responders of Corona 19 will start vaccination from the 22nd of next month.

Citizens can receive vaccinations from 9 local vaccination centers and 800 consigned medical institutions, depending on the vaccine supply situation from July.
