New information on’Project BBQ (tentative title)’, a new work based on the Dungeon & Fighter worldview, which has been unveiled since the first release in 2018, was introduced at the Dungeon & Fighter Universe Festival Part 2 (hereinafter referred to as Dunpa Festival) held on the 26th.
Project BBQ is a parallel world where the continent of Arad is the same as the original, but a different story unfolds. If you look at the video released at this event, you can see that’Bakal’, the king of fire dragons who died in the original, is alive.
The connection with Cyphers also attracts attention. Both Dungeon & Fighter and Cyphers were developed by Neople, and the worldview overlaps so that it is not difficult to find cases where the same character appeared in both games. In Project BBQ, Cyphers”Trooper’ appeared, confirming that it was’Dunpa Universe’.
Along with battle scenes of familiar faces such as Ranger and Elemental Master,’Phantom Guard’, a character with an unprecedented concept, was also introduced. Phantom Guard is a young knight who wears armor and has a large shield, and is the original character of Project BBQ.
A worldview setting that was not found in Dungeon & Fighter or Cyphers was also implied. As an unidentified object’Black Cube’, only an image of’Azelia’ handing over’Black Cube’ with a brief explanation of’Transition to another dimension’ was released at this event.

Additional information on Project BBQ will be released sequentially in the future. In addition, various information suitable for the theme of expanding the worldview was introduced at this Dunpa Festival. Three new works including Project BBQ, art exhibitions with famous artists such as Kim Jung-ki, Shin Young-hoon, and Jang Seong-rak, an art book commemorating the 15th anniversary consisting of two volumes, and a 13-part animation,’Dungeon & Fighter: The Wheel of Reversal’. Is scheduled to air on Animax next January.
