Following France, there is a court battle in Korea over the appointment of a guardian of actor Yoon Jeong-hee (77), who is suffering from Alzheimer’s dementia.
On the 8th, the Seoul Family Court Gaas21 alone (Judge Jang Jin-young) accepted the objection of Yoon Jeong-hee’s younger brother Son Mo in a trial for the initiation of adult guardianship requested by Yoon Jeong-hee’s daughter, Baek Jin-hee, and decided to participate as a participant on the 8th.
Son submitted an application for participation on the 4th and insisted that his daughter, Baek Jin-hee, could not serve as a guardian for Yoon Jeong-hee. As the decision to participate as a participant was made, Jung-hee Yoon’s younger brothers had the opportunity to formally participate in the process of selecting a guardian.
Earlier in the French court, the two sides had a fight over the designation of a guardian. The French court confirmed Baek Jin-hee as the guardian of Yoon Jeong-hee. Yoon Jung-hee’s younger brothers raised objections, but in November of last year, the French High Court finally gave his daughter Baek’s hand.
If you are designated as the guardian of Yoon Jeong-hee, you have the right to personal information, property, and inheritance. It will be possible to manage domestic assets such as two apartments and deposits in the name of Yoon Jeong-hee.
This situation was made public by Yoon Jung-hee’s younger brothers posting a message on the Blue House National Petition Board last month, saying, “Please save A, a movie star who passes away day by day, disconnected from the outside”. Yoon Jung-hee insisted that her husband Paik Kun-woo and daughter Paik Jin-hee had neglected him, and that he was unable to meet his family members.
In response, Paik’s side denied the claims of Yoon Jeong-hee’s younger brothers, and said that Yoon Jeong-hee is living next door to Baek Jin-hee’s apartment under the care of a court-appointed caregiver.
