Corona vaccine adverse reactions, 207 → 718 cases per day… 7 suspected anaphylaxis

The vaccination is being done at the Haeundae-gu Public Health Center in Busan on the morning of the 26th, the first day of vaccination for the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). /yunhap news

As of 0 o’clock on the 4th, the number of adverse reactions reported after vaccination with the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) was 718, up 511 from the previous day’s 0 o’clock count (207). It seems that the cumulative number of vaccinations, which was 86,975 cases by 0 o’clock the previous day, surged 6,5446 cases (accumulated 1544421 cases).

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on the day “709 cases (new 505 cases) were mild cases such as headache, fever, nausea, and vomiting, which can be common after vaccination, and 7 cases (4 new cases) suspected anaphylaxis (acute systemic allergy and respiratory distress symptoms). It was reported as a case and is being investigated.” The other two are death cases.

Of 718 cases, 711 cases were adverse reactions after AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine and 7 cases were Pfizer vaccination. Seven suspected cases of anaphylaxis and two cases of death were all from AZ vaccinations.

Although not included in the count, 3 deaths and 1 anaphylaxis were additionally reported this morning. The number of deaths was 3, including a patient in his 20s who was admitted to a severely disabled facility in Daejeon and two in his 50s who were admitted to a nursing hospital in Jeonbuk. All had underlying diseases and were vaccinated 1-2 days before death.

A woman in her 50s, who was suspected of developing anaphylaxis, developed symptoms 10 minutes after vaccination around 2 pm the previous day. He was immediately transferred to the emergency room, but recovered without any special measures and returned to the nursing hospital where he was hospitalized at around 3:30 pm on the same day.

The Agency for Disease Control and Prevention said, “Even though 260 million vaccinations have been performed worldwide, no cases of death with a proven causal relationship have been reported in major developed countries.”
