A survey found that 6 out of 10 Gyeonggi-do residents trust the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccine, which will be vaccinated next month. However, 7 out of 10 answered that they would delay the vaccination due to side effects. This is the result of a recent public opinion poll on Corona 19 that Gyeonggi-do conducted on 1,000 residents over the age of 18.

According to the results of a poll released on the 26th of Gyeonggi Province, 59% of the surveyed responded that they “trust the Corona 19 vaccine”. 39% of respondents said they were not trusted.

Regarding the timing of vaccination, only 26% of respondents said’I will get it as soon as possible’. 68% of the respondents said that they would watch and receive vaccine efficacy such as side effects, and 6% said they would not be vaccinated. 74% of them were reserved or negative about vaccination.

The most common reason for not watching or receiving the vaccination was’because I was worried about the side effects of the vaccine’ (66%). Following that, the opinions that the manufacturing company cannot be trusted (11%) and that the vulnerable groups such as the elderly and the underlying disease should be considered (11%).

By age group, the percentage of respondents saying’I will watch the efficacy and receive vaccinations’ was high among those in their 30s (79%), 18 to 20s (78%), and 40s (78%). The respondents saying’I will get vaccination soon’ showed a high percentage of elderly people in their 70s (51%) and 60s (43%). Among the chronically ill patients, the response that’will receive vaccination after watching the efficacy’ (55%) was higher than that of’will receive vaccination as soon as possible’ (40%).

73% of the respondents said, “Gyeonggi Province is doing well in coping with Corona 19,” and 24% of respondents said, “It is doing wrong.” This survey was conducted by telephone survey on the 16th by Gyeonggi Province commissioned by Casestat Research, a public opinion research organization. The confidence level is 95%, and the sample error is ±3.1%p.
