Gyeongju is also expected to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) from the end of next month.

The city of Gyeongju announced on the 24th that it has formed the’Corona 19 Vaccination Promotion Team’ to proceed quickly and completely according to the government’s Corona 19 vaccination plan.

The COVID-19 vaccination promotion team formed this time is a TF organization of six teams, including the implementation general team, the target person management team, the vaccine supply and demand team, the vaccination agency operation team, the rapid response team, and the citizen public relations team.

The vaccination target is for all citizens, but starting from the end of February, 9500 people who have the highest priority such as health care workers and nursing hospital residents will be vaccinated sequentially.

Pfizer/Modern vaccines that require cryogenic storage at the vaccination site are inoculated directly by the public health center at the Gyeongju gymnasium, and the AstraZeneca and Janssen vaccines, which can be stored in general refrigeration, are entrusted through 10 to 11 local hospital-level medical institutions.

Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young said, “As the corona19 epidemic continues nationwide, we will mobilize all available resources for efficient vaccinations according to short-term large-scale vaccinations as well as safe vaccination plans for the commercialization of the vaccine.” We will do everything in our power so that the most preemptive and prompt vaccination can be performed.”
