On this day, the National Assembly Public Officials Ethics Committee released the details of’regular property change report in 2021′. First, independent lawmaker Bong-min Jeon had the most wealth at 91.4 billion won. Most of the property was Leejin Housing, where the former lawmaker served as the representative, and unlisted shares (85.9 billion won) of Dongsu Construction. The former lawmaker withdrew from the power of the people at the end of last year, after being suspicious of being called for wealth through expedient gifting such as’Driving work’ from his father, Jeon Kwang-soo, Chairman of Construction General Construction Lee Jin.

Independent Rep. Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun was the one with the largest increase in wealth compared to a year ago (the first was in August of last year). From 16.6 billion won last year to 35 billion won this year, a year-on-year increase of 18.4 billion won. Of the 296 members of the National Assembly (excluding 4 members of the State Council), 245 (82.7%) of the lawmakers increased their wealth. Among them, 166 (56.0%) of the lawmakers had their new property increased by more than 100 million won a year. On the other hand, 51 lawmakers (17.2%) lost their property. Rep. Han Moo-kyung, the power of the people (last year 45.2 billion won → 12.9 billion won this year, -32.3 billion won), whose wealth declined the most.
