According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 565 new confirmed cases were found nationwide from 0 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 7th. 38 more than the 527 counted at the same time the day before.

As there is still time until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0 o’clock on the 8th is expected to increase further, reaching around 700 in the mid-to-late 600 range. The previous day, after 6 pm, the number of people increased by 141 to 668.

The number of confirmed cases, which had formed a box zone in the 300-400 range for a while, exceeded 500, and then increased to the point of looking at 700 after 600.

In the area where confirmed cases were found, 429 (75.9%) in the metropolitan area and 136 (24.1%) in the non-metropolitan area.

By city and province, Seoul 221, Gyeonggi 185, Busan 49, Incheon 23, Chungnam 16, Daejeon 15, Ulsan 14, Jeonbuk 11, Gyeongbuk 8, Gyeongnam 7, Chungbuk 6, Daegu 4, Gangwon and Jeju are each of three.

Of the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, there have not been confirmed cases in Gwangju, Sejong, and Jeonnam.

The number of new confirmed cases that occurred in the last week from the 1st to this day was 551 → 557 → 543 → 543 → 473 → 478 → 668 daily, with an average of 544.7 people per day.
