Transformed new coronavirus infections are emerging from all over Europe beyond the UK.

According to the AFP Reuters news agency, Swedish health officials announced on the 26th (local time) that “a new coronavirus mutated from a tourist who has been to the UK was detected and quarantined.” This is the first time that a mutated new coronavirus infection has been confirmed in Sweden.

On the same day, health officials in Madrid, Spain, said, “4 people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed.” Both of them are known to have been to England recently.

Prior to this, the French Ministry of Health also said on the 25th, “A French male residing in London, UK, tested positive for the novel coronavirus, which was mutated after entering the country.” He explained.

However, health authorities in various countries, such as Sweden and Spain, are saying, “At present, there are no signs of the spread of the mutated novel coronavirus in the country.”

The mutated novel coronavirus was first reported in the UK at the end of September, and it is known that its spreading power is up to 70% stronger than the existing virus. However, it has not been confirmed whether the fatality rate of the infected virus is higher than that of the existing virus.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus mutation from the UK, more than 50 countries around the world are currently restricting or banning entry from the UK.
