Famous top liner’Zero’ Pam Minrok of the Vietnam Championship Series (hereinafter referred to as VCS), a League of Legends Vietnam league, was permanently expelled from the league. The reason is that he made a false statement regarding Corona 19.

On the 7th, VCS announced on its official website that it would permanently expel’Zero’ Farm Minrok from the local league. The reason is that’Zero’ had a bad influence on the league image by making inappropriate remarks related to Corona 19. VCS said, “Based on league rules, we have decided to immediately and permanently expel him from the VCS.”

On the 6th, the remarks in question came out on the personal broadcast of’Zeros’. He said in the broadcast, “I hope the VCS Spring winners can’t go to MSI because the situation of Corona 19 in Vietnam is getting worse.” It may have come from the regret that I did not advance to the playoffs, but it was a very inconsiderable statement in a situation where not only Vietnam but also people all over the world are eagerly hoping to overcome Corona 19. Vietnam has accumulated more than 2,000 confirmed cases.

In particular, although VCS has secured two tickets to advance to the World Championships based on good international competition results, it has not been able to participate in the World Championships last year due to Corona 19. Eventually, the VCS also recognized the seriousness of the remark and decided to expel him immediately.

‘Zero’ Pam Minrok led the team under Pongbu Buffalo in 2018 to advance to the Worlds. In addition, in 2019, when he was active in GAM e-sports, he participated in the mid-season invitational, ranking 6th, and raising the VCS status as an independent league. However, in this spring season, the newly transferred team SBTC esports played a major role, but failed to advance to the playoffs with a 7-7 record in the regular season.

With this permanent expulsion,’Zeros’ will not be able to play as a player at VCS in the future. Of course, they can continue to play in other leagues according to the rules, but as the season is on, it is unclear whether there will be any teams that will recruit controversial players from their home country.
