The prosecutors and police in charge of the southern part of Seoul faced a head-to-head to combat real estate speculation.

On the 15th, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office announced that it had held a meeting of the heads of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office with five police stations in the southern Seoul area (Gangseo, Yeongdeungpo, Geumcheon, Guro, and Yangcheon). The meeting was attended by the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, the 1st and 2nd Deputy Prosecutors, and the chiefs of five police stations.

They discussed ways to establish a cooperation system for prosecutors (institutional director level and working level), and decided to strengthen communication through the department in charge of investigation and cooperation, which will be designated by the prosecution. This meeting is the first case of discussing how to build a cooperation system for speculum at the regional level.

They decided to cooperate closely, such as establishing a regular hotline between the prosecution department and the police investigation team in relation to the suspicion of real estate speculation from the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), which is a recent social problem.

The prosecution said, “In the future, we will strive to achieve justice for criminal justice and guarantee the human rights of the people by establishing a new cooperation model based on respect for mutual roles.”
