A co-worker who stole 2 billion won of money from a company run by comedian Heo Gyeong-hwan was sentenced to imprisonment in the first trial, while Heo Gyeong-hwan directly expressed his feelings.
According to law enforcement officials on the 17th, Section 27 of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Agreement (Director Judge Kim Sun-il) was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and fined Yang-mo (41), who was charged with embezzlement, counterfeiting and exercising securities under the Aggravated Punishment Act for specific economic crimes. It was sentenced to 10 million won.
The Ministry of Justice said, “The amount of embezzlement exceeded 2.7 billion won and the amount of damage remaining is quite large because of the crime committed by mixing the accounting of the victim company and the accounting of the companies that it operated without dividing it. He pointed out that he did not repay at all until the end of 9 years,” and considered the charges against Yang as guilty.
Yang worked as an auditor at the food distribution company Heo Dak, run by Heo Gyeong-hwan from 2010 to 2014. It is known that he was a partner of Heo Gyeong-hwan, managing the company, keeping the corporate bankbook and seal stamp, and Heo Gyeong-hwan’s seal stamp, and in charge of controlling the execution of funds.
The company’s funds stolen by Mr. Yang amounted to a total of 2.73 billion won. Whenever he needed money from a separate company he operated, it turned out that he withdrew the company’s funds from time to time, and the number of confirmed account transfers reached a total of 600 times. In addition, Yang signed and stamped a liquor supply contract in the name of Heo Gyeong-hwan, and issued and used a promissory note.
After Yang was sentenced to imprisonment, Heo Gyeong-hwan left a heart-gyeong-wish on his SNS on the 18th. Heo Kyung-hwan wrote, “I thought that comedians should laugh, not burden them, so I had to endure them and proceed quietly, but today there were a lot of articles,” he said. .
“Today, many are surprised and thankful for their support and concern,” he said. “It is a little expensive tuition, but thanks to the growth of each year and the company seems to have grown stronger. Now customers who look for products other than Heo Kyung-hwan and smile at my gag. I am so grateful to those who build it and I will broadcast and do business with more care,” he added.
