On the 3rd, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Information and Communication will start a competition for new tasks in the field of artificial intelligence convergence in the new year, including the artificial intelligence convergence project (AI+X).
The AI Convergence Project is one of the representative tasks of the Digital New Deal,’Data Dam’, and aims to innovate in each field and create new markets by incorporating AI into the entire industrial society.
This year, 24 consortiums will be selected for a total of 40.7 billion won for 18 new tasks.
First of all, the economic ripple effect and public feeling are high ▲ Medical image reading treatment ▲ Coast guard and land mine detection ▲ Rapid response to public safety ▲ Reading illegal copies ▲ Predicting new infectious diseases ▲ Quality management of regional specialty industries ▲ Energy efficiency of industrial complexes, etc. 11 new projects of scale are selected.
In addition, it has decided to support the expansion of AI services by the private sector and additional support for 7 new projects worth 13 billion won in the AI demonstration environment construction project.
The AI Convergence Project, which was launched last year as a supplementary project, provides more than 500,000 data in medical and customs fields, which have been difficult to use so far, and 56 companies and institutions are developing AI algorithms.
Along with this, it is piloting the spread of AI utilization in 27 private service sites such as transportation and finance, and the achievement of commercializing the technology acquired through business participation is also being created.
The Ministry of Science and ICT is planning to use the results of business such as medical image reading and energy-efficient artificial intelligence solutions to remote military hospitals and factories in industrial complexes this year.
