On the 22nd (local time), the identity of the criminal who fired a gun at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, USA, was revealed to be a 21-year-old male “Amad Alyssa”. Alyssa was charged with the most severely punished first-degree murder.

According to Reuters and CNN, local authorities said at a briefing that morning that they prosecuted Alyssa on charges of 10 first-degree murders and one attempted murder against the criminal.

After immigrating from Syria in 2002, Alisa’s family, now a U.S. citizen, testified that he had an antisocial orientation.

Ali’s elder brother, Ali Aliwi, Alisa (34), told CNN that “My younger brother is very antisocial and suffers from paranoia.”

“In high school, gangsters made fun of Alisa’s name for being Muslim, and this may have contributed to her being an anti-social person,” he explained.

In fact, Alisa posted a Facebook post in March and July 2019, believing that she hacked a cell phone while in high school.

However, Alyssa’s older brother said that Alyssa did not engage in political or religious activities and that he had never said that he would use violence on a regular basis.

“I never thought that Ali would do that,” he said. “I’m sorry to all the victims of the family.”

Alisa, who attended Arvada West High School in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, USA from March 2015 to May 2018, worked as a wrestler as a high school student, Reuters reported.

The social network service (SNS) page, which is presumed to be Alisa’s account, had a picture of Alisa who participated in a wrestling match, and stated that she was interested in computer science and kickboxing.

Also, according to this page, Alisa studied computer science at Denver Metropolitan State University (MSUD). However, MSUD officials said that Alisa was not a student at the school.

Facebook said on the 23rd that it had closed Alisa’s account.

Meanwhile, in a statement submitted by the local police, Alisa raided the grocery store King Superus in Boulder on the 22nd, armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and pistol, and wearing a tactical vest.

It was also revealed that Alisa purchased the Ruger AR-556 rifle on the 16th, six days before the shooting.

After confrontation with the police in a firefight with the police at the scene of the incident, Alyssa suffered a leg injury and was treated in a hospital before being transferred to Boulder County Prison.

According to the affidavit, Alisa has no specific criminal record except for being accused of third-degree assault in 2018.

Local police have yet to reveal Alisa’s motives, but said they are confident that Alisa is the sole criminal.

FBI agent Michael Schneider, who was in charge of the case, stressed at a press conference that Alisa’s motives were “too soon to come to any conclusions.”
