Coinbase and OKCoin have also joined the ranks since Bitstamp, the US exchange, announced for the first time to stop trading Ripple. Crypto.com announced that it would delist Ripple.

◆ Coinbase·OKCoin Ripple Transaction Suspension, Cryptocurrency Still

Coinbase, the largest virtual asset exchange in the U.S., announced on the 28th (local time) that it will completely stop trading Ripple at 10:00 am on January 19th, following the SEC’s prosecution of Ripple Labs. He added that Ripple transactions will restrict some transactions from 2:30 pm on the same day.

Coinbase said, “The interruption of the transaction does not affect the customer’s access to the Ripple wallet, and deposits and withdrawals are possible even after the transaction is interrupted.” Customers subject to approval in certain jurisdictions will continue to receive Spark (flare network’s own token) airdrop. The exchange said, “Coinbase Custody and Wallet continue to support Ripple.”

On the same day, OKCoin said it would stop trading and depositing Ripple from January 4 next year due to a lawsuit against the SEC and Ripple Labs. Users who borrow XRP/USD margin pairs from 7pm on January 3, next year, must return their loans before this day. If the loan cannot be paid back by this day, OKCoin cancels the contract. In addition, Ripple spot trading, margin trading, and deposit will be suspended from 7pm on January 4th next year until further notice.

◆ Crypto.com delists Ripple from the app

Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency payment service provider, also announced on the same day that it will delist Ripple and stop trading in the US from January 19th next year. Ripple trading will be stopped in the Crypto.com app as well as related products.

From 10 am on January 19th, US customers will not be able to deposit or withdraw Ripple on Crypto.com. Crypto.com told US customers, “Please unlock Ripple and transfer to Crypto Wallet by 10 am on the 29th. Interest is paid until this day.”
