Shinsegae Group announced on the 23rd, “We have signed a contract with Shin-soo Choo, who is a major league free agent (FA), for an annual salary of 2.7 billion won.” Shin-soo Choo decided to spend 1 billion won of his annual salary on social contribution activities, and he decided to discuss a specific activity plan with the club.

With this, Shin-soo Cho became the first transfer student of Shinsegae Group to acquire SK Wyverns. Choo Shin-soo was nominated for the first place in SK Wyverns’ overseas special nomination in 2007, and 14 years later, he made his debut in KBO.

After graduating from Busan High School, Shin-soo Choo entered the United States in 2001, and played in 1652 major league games, batting 0.275, 1671 hits, 218 homers, 782 RBI, 961 points, 157. Recorded a steal.

In particular, in 2009, the first Asian player batting average of more than 0.300, 20 homers and 20 steals, and in 2015, he recorded the first Asian hitter cycling hit. It also has the most home runs (218) and most RBIs (782) by hitters from Asia.
