SK Hynix’s salary has not been paid since last month due to the declaration of return of annual salary
SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won received 3 billion won in compensation from SK Hynix last year.
Chairman Choi, who declared that he would return his annual salary in connection with the controversy over the incentive wage raised in the company, has not been receiving an annual salary since last month.
According to the 2020 business report announced by SK Hynix on the 22nd, Chairman Choi received 3 billion won, including 2.5 billion won in salary and 500 million won in bonuses.
With regard to the’return of annual salary’ declared by Chairman Choi in this business report, SK hynix said, “We are carrying out the return of the wages promised to members as of February 1 of this year.” It will be used to improve welfare,” he explained separately.
At the M16 completion ceremony held at the headquarters in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do on the 1st of last month, Chairman Choi promised to improve communication and welfare in relation to the incentive complaints raised within the company, and mentioned that he would return last year’s salary.
Since last year’s annual salary of 3 billion won has already been received, the company reported that it is not receiving salaries from SK Hynix as promised from February this year when the annual salary was declared to be returned.
Chairman Choi is receiving an annual salary of 3 billion won from SK Hynix every year, so the amount returned this year is expected to be that level.
Chairman Choi received compensation from two companies, SK Corp. and SK Hynix, and SK Corp. received a total of 3.3 billion won, including a salary of 2.3 billion won and a bonus of 1 billion won last year.
SK Hynix Vice Chairman Park Seong-wook received a total of 2,591 billion won last year, including 1.2 billion won in salary and 1,394 billion won in bonuses.
SK Hynix CEO and President Lee Seok-hee received a total of 2.42 billion won last year, including 1.2 billion won in salary and 1223 billion won in bonuses.
The company also gave Vice Chairman Park and President Lee the option to purchase shares, which is not included in the total remuneration.
In addition, Cha Jin-suk received a total of 3,136 million won in salary last year, including 529 million won in salary, 494 million won in bonuses, and 2.111 billion won in severance pay.
Hong Seong-ju also received a total of 2,973 million won, including a salary of 518 million won, a bonus of 611 million won, and a severance pay of 1.83 billion won.
