After the meeting, Chairman Park said, “It was unanimously decided to elect Choi alone at the Seoul Presidency Conference.” .
Chairman Park said to Chairman Choi, “I am at an inflection point where the 4th industrial era is coming, and from my own experience, I think that he is a suitable person to look forward to the future.” He added, “Because he is a person who usually thinks about win-win, environment, and social values, I think he is an excellent candidate at the moment.”
Chairman Choi said, “Thank you for the appointment,” and “I will consider what I can do for the consultation and the national economy.”
Choi, who has been solely elected as the chairman of the Seoul Prize, will be finally elected as chairman at the extraordinary general meeting of parliamentarians held on the 23rd of this month. He also rises as the chairman of the award. Chairman Choi is the first to serve as the chairman of the Korea Award for the head of four major domestic groups.
