Choi Gyeong-ju (51) hit a 5 under par on the second day of the US Professional Golf (PGA) Tour Sony Open and climbed a tie for 15th.

Choi Gyeong-ju reduced 5 strokes by catching only 5 birdies in the second round of the PGA Tour Sony Open held at the Waialay Country Club (par 70) in Honolulu, Hawaii on the 16th (Korean time).

Choi Gyeong-ju, who was tied for 15th with 132 shots at 8 under par in the middle total, is chasing behind Nick Taylor (Canada 12 under par 128) by 4 shots.

Choi Gyeong-ju, who caught a 4m birdie in the first hole, hole 10 (par 4), added a birdie in hole 14 (par 4).

In the first hole (par 4), a 15m long birdie putt was put in. Afterwards, the round ended happily with a birdie on the 7th hole (par 3) and the 9th hole (par 5).

Choi Gyeong-ju was rejected for four consecutive cuts in the 2020-2021 season, but he raised expectations for passing the cut for the second time following the Mayakoba Classic (joint 46) last month.

Choi Kyung-joo has a good memory of winning this competition in 2008.

Kim Si-woo (26), who tied for fourth in the first round, faltered with an even par in the second round.

Kim Si-woo, who recorded 134 strokes at a 6-under par in the middle, went down 31 places to a tie for 35th.

The start was good. He caught a birdie on the 2nd hole (par 4) and the Eagle on the 9th hole (par 5).

He added a birdie in hole 10 (par 4), but afterwards poured out 4 bogies with putt hunting.

The par putt slightly missed from holes 11 to 13 in a row, and I also wrote down an example on hole 17 (par 3).

Lee Gyeong-hoon (30) reduced 4 strokes on the day and placed a tie for 46th with a middle total of 135 strokes under a 5-under par.

Lim Seong-jae (23), who hit a 2-under par, passed the middle total 4 under par 136 tarot cut (4 under par) with a pull-up. The ranking is tied for 56th.

Yang Yong-eun (49) and Kang Seong-hun (34) failed to pass the cut with a total of 2 under par.

Heo In-hoe (34), who participated in the Monday qualifying round, was also eliminated with a total of 4 over par 144.

Taylor jumped to the top alone by reducing 8 shots that day, including putting a 20m eagle putt in the 18th hole.

Stuart Sink, Webb Simpson, Russell Henry, Von Taylor, Chris Kirk (above the United States), and five others are tied for second place with 10 under par 130 strokes.
