Cho Min, 30, the daughter of former Minister Cho Kook, applied for an internship at the National Medical Center, but was eliminated.
On the 29th, the National Medical Center announced the successors of the 2021 internship screening, and announced the news of Cho’s failure. There is no Cho in the list of successful candidates posted on the medical center’s website. Cho applied for an intern at a medical center and had an interview on the 27th. 16 people took the screening, in which 9 interns were selected.
The medical center said, “The percentage of 15% of the interview scores reflected is hard to have a big impact on the satisfaction of the general interview scores. It will work decisively.” It means that the results of medical school and national poetry were different than interviews.

Cho’s interest in whether to pass an internship is due to the suspicion of illegal admission to medical school. If medical school admission is cancelled, the doctor’s license is also invalid. While treating patients, the doctor’s license may disappear.
Mr. Cho is suspected of fraudulent admission to Pusan National University Medical School. In December of last year, Dongyang University professor Chung Kyung-shim was sentenced to four years in prison in the first trial and was imprisoned in court. At the time, the court judged all charges of corruption in the entrance examination involving Cho Min as guilty. However, even after the judgment of the first trial, the Pusan National University side maintained the position that it would handle it in principle after the court’s final judgment came out. Since then, there have been requests from political circles and medical circles to suspend Mr. Cho’s doctor’s license. After seeing the Supreme Court’s ruling by Pusan National University, it is a policy to decide whether to cancel the admission of all medical doctors. It means that you can open a business or get a job to treat patients. If the Supreme Court decision is finalized as the first trial, Busan National University cancels the admission of Mr. Cho, and the license may be invalidated.
In response, Education Minister Yu Eun-hye said on the 27th that’the law is under review’. It was the first time after the controversy about Mr. Cho’s cancellation of admission. Minister Yoo appeared on a radio broadcast and said, “It is difficult because the trial is in progress, but we are doing various legal reviews.” On the other hand, in the case of Jeong Yu-ra, the daughter of Choi Seo-won, the main beom of Gukjeong Nongdan, he stressed that it was different from that time.
At the time, the Ministry of Education gave a special audit to Ewha Womans University, confirmed the suspicion of preferential treatment, and asked Ewha University to cancel his admission. Minister Yoo explained, “When the problem emerged in 2019, the prosecution started the investigation very quickly first, and it was difficult for the Ministry of Education to audit it because it had obtained all the data and materials.” He mentioned that there was a request for an audit of Pusan National University, and explained that “we are taking a comprehensive review in consideration of Prof. Kyung-Shim Chung’s decision on the first trial and the position of the medical practitioners at Pusan National University.”
