Actor Cho Byeong-gyu said, “The author of the false post has surrendered and admitted that the post he wrote is false.”

On the afternoon of the 17th, HB Entertainment, the management company of Cho Byeong-gyu, released a press release, “The author of the false post has surrendered to it, admits that the post he has written is false, regrets his wrongdoing and misconduct, and appeals to be elected in line of apology I did.”

Cho Byeong-gyu was controversial over school violence after the article “Jo Byeong-gyu School Violence Victim” was posted on an online community. The author of the article claimed that he and Byeong-gyu Cho attended school in New Zealand as a senior in middle school and were verbally abused by Cho Byeong-gyu.

As the wave increased, the agency explained that the agency requested a complaint and investigation to the police on the morning of this morning for spreading false facts, and the author of the post later called the agency directly and admitted that the writing was false.

The agency added, “We confirmed the authenticity of the author, and confirmed that the author had deleted the false post.”

He said, “In view of the fact that the author of the false post reflects on his faults and conveys his intention to seek prejudice several times, he has received a confirmation from the author that he will not commit any illegal acts again.

The agency added, “If a similar case occurs afterwards or other circumstances that aggravate the damage to the affiliated actor, we will respond strongly so that the rights and interests of the affiliated actor are not violated.”
