In China, an elderly man in his 70s was poisoned by poisoning 22 dogs in the neighborhood by dropping rodenticide for being noisy.
According to the state-run Global Times on the 18th, a court in Anhui Province in China recently sentenced Hu, an old man in his 70s to Huanan, to three years in prison and three years probation for annihilating local dogs.
Hu and his wife were reportedly suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease, and suffered from insomnia due to stress from the barking of local dogs at night.
Mr. Hu, who was unbearable, mixed the leftovers with rodenticide and put them in a plaza in the neighborhood, and 22 dogs in the neighborhood who ate them died at once.
After the incident, Mr. Hu repented of the wrongdoing and appealed to the owners of the dog for compensation by compensating a total of 50,000 yuan (8.5 million won) or more.
However, the court severely punished Mr. Hu.
Anhui provincial court pointed out that Hu’s crime seriously threatened public safety by spreading dangerous substances in public places.
The court said, “Mr. Hu tried to poison only local dogs, but children and other pets could also be damaged,” he said. “This is a crime that poses a great threat to the lives and health of others.”
He urged attention, saying, “The owners of dogs should also take care of them well,” and “the owners should put a leash around the dog for a walk and prevent it from barking.
