Chinese Baidu to formally establish electric vehicle company’Zidu’

Baidu decided on the mission of an electric vehicle joint venture established with Gili Motors and officially registered it.

According to Kaadeili, a Chinese media outlet on the 3rd, Baidu decided on the mission of an electric vehicle joint venture to be’Zidu’. He explained that the meaning of culminating artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities is melted. Baidu is not just an electric car, but a smart car that combines autonomous driving and AI technology based on the’Apollo platform’.

Baidu registered the company as a formal enterprise on the 2nd, and the registered capital is 2 billion yuan (about 3469 billion won). This day becomes the date of incorporation of this company.

Baidu and Gili Motors have a 55% to 45% stake. The legal representative is Mr. Shayping, who was recently appointed as CEO, and the registered address is Jiading District, Shanghai, China. Jiading-gu is a region where autonomous driving companies such as Baidu, Diddy, and AutoX are testing autonomous driving.

The scope of the company’s management is indicated by eco-friendly automobile and related parts technology services, technology development, technology consulting, technology exchange and transfer.

In addition to CEO Shaping, the board of directors will consist of three Baidu directors and one Gili Motors director.

Considering the share ratio, Baidu is leading senior executives and Gili Motors becomes a strategic cooperation partner.

Jidu Motors will make electric cars based on the electric vehicle platform’SEA’ developed by Gili Motors.
