The National People’s Congress of China (Non-in University) passed the draft’Resolution on Completion of the Hong Kong Election System’ with overwhelming approval at the 13th 4th Plenary Meeting held on the 11th.

According to the state-run CCTV, on this day, the NPC voted and passed the draft’Hong Kong Election System Reform’ with the main idea of ​​establishing a high-level committee to screen candidates for election, excluding the share of councilors among the electoral corps to elect the Hong Kong administrative minister, and expanding the range of legislative representatives. .

In this vote, there was only one committee member who abstained from the vote, and the draft reform was passed with’overwhelming support’.

Regarding the passage of the draft, the Chinese side said, “Another historical achievement following the enforcement of the Hong Kong Security Law in July of last year.”
