Ward officials confirmed that children were neglected in a house full of clutter, and the police began an investigation.

According to the police on the 27th, the Dobong Police Station in Seoul is investigating a foreign woman in her 40s on charges of neglect under the Child Welfare Act on the 12th.

Mr. A is accused of neglecting three children in his house in Dobong-gu, Seoul. It was found that the police, who identified the incident through a report from the ward office, took measures to separate parents and children through quarantine-related procedures such as a positive corona19 test. A has suspected a mental illness called “storing obsessive compulsive”, so the police were found to have taken measures such as hospital treatment for A.

It is known that Mr. A and his Korean husband, Mr. B, had previously been reported to have been emotionally abusing their children, or that Mr. B was engaged in domestic violence. However, it is reported that the police sent the charges of emotional abuse by the couple as prosecution opinion, and Mr. B’s domestic violence case was sent as a non-prosecution opinion because Mr. A did not want punishment.

A police official said, “After A’s hospital treatment is over, the investigation will continue,” and “Father B is reviewing the case.”
