While the ruling party, which has a huge number of seats, has repeated several times, it is noteworthy what countermeasures the opposition party will come up with.

According to the National Assembly’s National Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee on the 25th, it is expected that the progress report on the personnel hearing on candidate Byun will be processed at the plenary meeting scheduled for 28th unless there is a major change. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport originally planned to adopt the report on the 24th. However, the ruling party has accepted the opposition party’s agreement and has delayed processing the agenda until the 28th. Accordingly, over the weekend, negotiations will take place between the ruling party secretary, Cho Eung-cheon, and the opposition party secretary, Lee Heon-seung, and the people’s strength.

However, the public opinion is that this is a delayed operation to dilute negative public opinion, rather than the government and ruling party withdrawing their intention to appoint candidate Byeon.
