In particular, new products and new technologies with the theme of’Homeconomy’ are expected to be released as the house expands beyond residential spaces to spaces for various economic activities due to the corona effect.

According to the US Consumer Technology Association (CTA), a total of 1964’CES 2021′, which is held online in the aftermath of the corona, participated in this year, which is less than half of the 4,400 last year.

The United States is the largest with 570 companies participating, followed by Korea with 340 companies participating. In China, where more than 1,000 companies participated each year, only 203 companies are participating, including the absence of flowers this year.

Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, General Motors (GM), Fiat Chrysler (FCA), etc. participated to show the trend of accelerated conversion to electric vehicles and advanced and more complete autonomous driving technology.

Samsung·LG Electronics’mini LED TV’ released

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will participate in’CES 2021′ with the theme of innovation in the house and daily life, which has become more important due to Corona 19.

Korean small business·Start-up CES stage

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will open online’Korea Pavilion’ (www.ces2021korea.com) and’K-Startup Pavilion’ (kstartupces2021.com) for four days from 11 to 14. The government has stepped up for small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups that have technological prowess but have low recognition.

A total of 89 small and medium-sized technology innovation companies in Korea will participate in the Korean Pavilion, including 3 companies that have won the CES Innovation Award, focusing on 8 topics such as product design and manufacturing, and wearables. These companies support the creation of digital contents such as individual online exhibition halls and promotional videos. In the Korean Pavilion, real-time non-face-to-face purchase consultations such as overseas buyers will be provided.

97 domestic start-up companies including 24 companies in the health and wellness sector, 24 5G and Internet of Things, and 15 robots and artificial intelligence will participate in the K-Startup Hall. These companies open individual online booths to post digital contents such as company introductions and videos. Each company’s digital booth is scheduled to be operated for about a month after the closing.
