Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive officer (CEO), will be aired on the 13th at 7 am (9 pm KST) on the 13th, with an exclusive interview with CBS. This is the first time that Cook’s official interview has been conducted since the 8th, which is known to be discussing cooperation with Hyundai Motor Company.

Gale King, the host of’CBS This Morning’, who met Cook’s CEO, revealed some of the interview details in the broadcast the previous day. First, according to King, CEO Cook said on the 6th that “someone should take responsibility” for the violence caused by US President Donald Trump’s intrusion into Congress.

“There is no one above the law,” Cook emphasized. “The United States is good because it is a rule of law.” He added, “I think anyone involved in the violence should be held accountable.”

On the 10th, Apple deleted a social media parlor app from the App Store that was popular with Trump supporters. Apple said the reason for the eviction, saying, “We support multiple perspectives, but threats of violence and illegal activities are unacceptable on the platform.”

Mr. Cook is considered to have maintained a relatively close but balanced relationship with President Trump. When the Trump administration decided to abolish the “Dhaka” program, which delays the deportation of illegal immigrants, Cook voiced criticism. During the 2016 presidential election, he ran a fundraising event for the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Nevertheless, Cook won more support from President Trump than CEOs of other big tech companies. This is why Apple was able to repatriate cash held overseas at a low tax rate and to be exempted from tariffs on Chinese products.

Other interviews are planned to be released on the main broadcast, King explained. “It’s not about a new product, but there will be a big announcement,” said King. “It’s a bigger and more interesting story.”
