Tiger Woods, who had undergone leg surgery in a car rollover accident, reported a return to the golf video game.

According to foreign media on the 16th (local time), Woods signed an exclusive partnership agreement with 2K, a global game development and distribution company, for golf video games.

In a statement, Woods said, “I am looking forward to a (first) return through the video game environment, and I have found the right partner to make it happen. I hope to share my expertise and insights as we shape the future of golf video games together. I look forward to it.”

With this contract, 2K has exclusively secured the right to use Woods’ name and portrait rights in the video golf game’PGA Tour 2K’ series, and Woods takes on an advisory role by participating as a director of the golf video game franchise.

‘PGA Tour 2K’ is a video game that embodies the actual course and players of the American Professional Golf (PGA). 2K has been in charge of worldwide distribution of’PGA Tour 2K’ so far, and through a contract with Woods, it also acquired HB Studio, the developer of this game.

Earlier, game company Electronic Arts (EA) signed a 15-year contract with Woods and succeeded in releasing the video game’Tiger Woods PGA Tour’. However, the contract was terminated in 2013 after a series of scandals surrounding Woods erupted.
