Real estate judgment is fierce
According to the results of the Seoul by-election poll conducted for two days from the 26th, the Korea Economic Daily commissioned the polling agency Ipsos on the 28th, the question was asked,’Who is the candidate who is most likely to perform in the stabilization of the real estate market in Seoul?’ 39.4% of the respondents said they were candidates Oh. Candidate Park was 21.3%, and the gap between the two candidates was 18.1 percentage points.
Candidate Oh was selected as a candidate to stabilize the real estate market in all age groups except in his 50s. 52.6% of people over the age of 60 viewed Candidate Oh as a person who will achieve results in stabilizing the real estate market. 20.4% of respondents over the age of 60 who answered Park’s candidate. In their twenties, Candidate Oh and Candidate Park recorded 32.6% and 9.3%, respectively. In their 30s, candidate Oh was 35.3% and candidate Park was 16.0%.
Those in their 50s with high support from Park gave more power to Park (36.2%) than Oh (35.6%) in real estate policy. In the case of the 40s, candidate Park’s approval rating was higher, but in the real estate sector, candidate Oh (35.0%) preferred Park candidate (26.2%).

Candidate Park and Candidate Oh’s approval ratings were divided depending on whether they owned a home. 42.8% of homeless in Seoul supported Park. The approval rate of homeless people for Candidate Oh was 40.2%.
Candidate Oh’s support was high among those with one home and two or more homes. 57.0% of the homeowners supported Candidate Oh. There was a 27.8 percentage point difference from Candidate Park (29.2%). For two houses or more, the approval ratings of Candidate Oh and Candidate Park were 49.8% and 39.1%, respectively.
Ahead of the by-election of the mayor of Seoul, the issue that the citizens of Seoul are most interested in is’stabilization of the real estate market (37.6%)’. In the rest of the generation, Candidate Oh struck out Park by a large gap. In their 20s, candidate Park was 25.3% and candidate Oh 45.2%. Those in their 30s supported Oh (50.6%) more than Park (32.8%). Those over the age of 60 overwhelmingly supported Candidate Oh (61.9%) than Park (27.8%).

By occupation, except for blue-collar, Candidate Oh surpassed Candidate Park. Self-employed people suffering from Corona 19 supported Candidate Oh (51.7%) more than Candidate Park (38.0%). Even in white-collar, the approval rating of Candidate Oh (48.8%) surpassed that of Candidate Park (35.8%). In blue-collar, candidate Park (51.0%) was superior to Candidate Oh (39.5%).
In an investigation asking the possibility of winning, the gap between the two candidates widened. 56.8% of respondents saw that there is a high likelihood of winning candidate Oh. 26.3% of respondents answered Park. The gap was 30.5 percentage points. This is a number that is about twice as different compared to the gap in the approval ratings of the two candidates (15.8 percentage points). It can be interpreted that some of Park’s supporters are also seeing Oh’s election highly.

The survey was conducted through direct telephone interviews (10.1% wired, 89.9% wireless) of investigators rather than an automatic response system (ARS) for two days on the 26th to 27th.
