A new coronavirus infection has also emerged in Canada.

According to AFP and Reuters, Canadian Ontario health officials said on the 26th (local time) that “two patients infected with the mutated novel coronavirus have been identified.”

The two mutated novel coronavirus infections are known to be married couples living in Durham, southern Ontario.

However, local health officials explained, “These couples do not have any recent travel records, and it is understood that they have not been in contact with corona19 infected persons or high-risk groups.”

The mutated novel coronavirus was first reported in the UK at the end of September, and it is said that its spreading power is up to 70% stronger than the existing virus.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the fatality rate of the infected virus is higher than that of the existing virus.

Ontario health officials have recommended that “residents stay at home and follow public health rules (to prevent COVID-19) as much as possible.”

In Ontario, which has the largest population in Canada (approximately 14 million), 4301 new corona19 confirmed cases have been reported in the last two days.

Accordingly, the Ontario government has taken additional “blockade” measures (28 days in the north and 14 days in the south) from this day to curb the spread of Corona 19.

In addition, the Canadian government has completely banned the entry of flights from the UK from the 23rd to the 6th of next month to block the influx of new coronavirus mutations from the UK.

According to World Omometer, an international statistics website, as of 5:57 a.m. Korean time on the 27th, the cumulative number of corona 19 confirmed cases in Canada is 54,1616 and 14,800 deaths.
