‘Can I have a turn at home?’… Like this this year

As previously mentioned, the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people has been extended until the Lunar New Year holidays, so you may be confused whether it is not allowed to gather only in crowded restaurants, or to gather at home and have a turn.

Reporter Nam Joo-hyun will explain in detail how it is best to spend this Lunar New Year holiday based on government measures.

The fact that no more than 5 people gather is not only for multi-use facilities such as restaurants.

If you are not a family living together, you can only gather up to 4 people at home.

The same standards apply to meetings and events such as triplets, turns, and rites.

Each infant should count as one.

There are very limited exceptions.

Families who are away from home for temporary local work or study, but live together on weekends or vacations, are considered to have the same living space.

In addition, if caring for children, the elderly, or the disabled is in need, five or more people may gather together in a situation where family members and acquaintances gather ahead of their death.

Except in such cases, if it is revealed that more than five people are gathered, a fine of less than 100,000 won will be imposed. The government cannot impose a fine for each gathering at home.

This measure applies equally across the country to reduce confusion.

In order to reduce movement between regions, the government plans to pay for expressway tolls as in Chuseok last year, and to sell only window seats for railroad tickets.
