“That’s why the people are saying,’Resign immediately.’ I think the same thing. What are you going to do?”
“….”

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum couldn’t speak for a while at the cry of Justice Party lawmaker Shim Sang-jeong.

The National Assembly’s National Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee held a plenary meeting on the 9th and held an urgent questionnaire on the alleged speculation of the 3rd Shindo site by LH Korea Land and Housing Corporation executives and employees. In response to Minister Byeon Chang-heum, the minister of charge and former president of LH Korea Land and Housing Corporation, criticism from the opposition lawmakers poured out.

Some opposition lawmakers even talked about’resignation’ and crushed Minister Byeon. Minister Byeon bowed his head and apologized, but he did not answer properly, such as being silent regarding his move.

“A minister who is insensitive to speculation and cannot measure public sentiment, what more do you expect?”

The plenary meeting, which was scheduled for 2 pm on this day, was delayed by nearly an hour as members of the Democratic Party and the People’s Strength together held a tumultuous remark through their parliamentary action.

The first hitter in the barely progressed urgent questionnaire was Senator Shim Sang-jung. However, there were not many specific answers from Minister Byun to the inquiries of Congressman. For example, a member of the Council inquired about the government joint investigation team’s decision to announce the results of the first round of investigation soon, but Minister Byeon said, “I do not know exactly the date of (announcement)” and “I do not know much about the content and scale.” I only came up with the answer.

Rep. Shim said, “The people are at the peak of disappointment and betrayal.” Is exploding.”

Rep. Shim particularly pointed out that Minister Byeon told MBC reporter, “I didn’t think I bought the land in advance because I knew the development information,” and “I bought it because I knew that the new town could not be developed, but I think it was suddenly designated as a new town.” “The person who set fire to the people’s anger was Minister Byun Chang-heum,” he said.

Minister Byeon replied, “I didn’t know (in advance) anything.” He also said, “I haven’t done it,” even when asked, “Have you done any research before you speak?” Rep. Shim asked, “How did you know that you didn’t even investigate and didn’t know it in advance, but you didn’t know the development information in advance?” .

Rep. Shim said, “That is the usual perception of the minister,” and “think with common sense. People who do not know development information in advance ow up to 5.8 billion in debt, accidents, splitting, planting seedlings, and local employees. Did you come to the expedition to buy the land. Is it explained, the minister?” he raised his voice. “The public company employees have come out to speculation and that is also collectively, but does it make sense in common sense for the minister to say’wrap my family’?” he pointed out.

“The whole people are suffering because of speculation,” he said, “it should have been done thoroughly from the crackdown on the house,” he said. “What more would you expect from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, who is not able to properly measure public sentiment and is so insensitive to speculation?” he said, referring to Minister Byeon’s resignation.

People’s Power “Don’t you hear the story of’Stay back’ here and there?”

The mention of Minister Byeon’s resignation that day did not stop here. Members of the People’s Strength also raised their voices positively. On this day, members of the People’s Power of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also posted hand pickets such as “Resign Byun Chang-heum, the contempt of real estate speculation,” on their laptops.

Rep. Kim Hee-guk said, “The minister regrets this case or makes such a disastrous voice, but that is not what the people want,” he said. “I acknowledge my responsibility as the main secretary in this case, and the plan that the people will be convinced of in the future. Please tell me about,” he raised his voice. In fact, it was a request for resignation.

Rep. Song Suk-joon of the same party also raised the day, saying, “Aren’t the angry people asking for (resignation)?” Minister Byun did not answer properly until the end, such as answering only “I feel a heavy responsibility” or silently to the repeated questions related to geography that day.
