During his prime in the 1970s, he moved to Florida with his marriage, lived for 10 years, divorced, and then came back to work as an actor in Korea again.

“I suffered because I only came in small roles, and most of the people hated me. I was thinking of quitting and returning to the United States, but I survived and enjoy acting.”

Yoon Yeo-jung, who interviewed a NYT reporter on video at his home in Seoul, said, “I couldn’t even imagine that a seventy-three Asian woman would be nominated for an Oscar.”

“I have a lot of stress. People now think of me like a soccer player or the national Olympic team, and it’s a burden.”

He also introduced a relationship with director Lee Isaac Jeong (Korean name Jeong Isaac), who wrote and directed Minari.

Producer Lee In-ah, a close friend of Yoon Yeo-jung, introduced him for the first time at the Busan Film Festival.

Yoon Yeo-jeong said that he was impressed by the fact that director Jung, who was born and raised in the United States, has even the earliest appearances of his own, and he wanted to know about him.

Alan Kim had little experience in acting, so I thought he might test his patience in the filming with him, but when he saw Alan memorize all the lines, he said he confessed his worries. In his attitude toward acting, he is said to have seen his early childhood days from young Alan.

“I didn’t learn acting at school, nor did I study movies. I had a feeling of inferiority. So when I got the lines, I practiced very hard.”

NYT commented on Yoon Yeo-jung’s appearance in the interview, “a kind smile and cheerful laughter burst out on her thoughtful expression, and there was a natural dignity in her serene appearance,” and said, “I was resolute when I said my thoughts.”
