It is pointed out that a late examination of the index patient who showed symptoms for the first time with a heap of patients with novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) at religious facilities and moisturizing academies in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, increased the spread of the infection.

The dormitory in the religious facility where this patient lived was a structure where 2-3 people lived in a closed room, which encouraged rapid infection.

According to the city of Bucheon on the 10th, the indicator patient of the Seungri Altar facility in Goean-dong Yeongsaenggyo and Ohjeong-dong Ability Training Academy, where there were more than 90 confirmed cases of Corona 19, is Mr. A, an instructor in the 50s.

Mr. A had symptoms such as coughing and muscle pain on the 3rd, but living without suspicion of infection was confirmed on the 8th after a specimen examination on the 7th.

Despite concerns about the infection and spread of Corona 19, he has been living for four days.

Mr. A stayed at the men’s dormitory at the Seungri Altar and worked at the corresponding tutoring academy.

He suspected his infection and was examined only after one student at the academy was confirmed on the 7th.

Considering that Mr. A showed symptoms such as fever from the 3rd and 6th, the infection is estimated to have spread within 4 days.

The quarantine authorities immediately investigated and responded to the spread of Corona 19, but the infection had already spread.

Regarding the Seungri Altar, a total of 59 confirmed cases were found in male and female dormitories in religious facilities, clothing manufacturer Bokwang Fashion, orchestra.

In particular, in the male dormitory, more than 70% of the 21 residents were confirmed.

The infection rate was fast as 2-3 people stayed together in a small dormitory room with poor ventilation and beds. It is known that the members of the dormitory also shared shower rooms and laundry rooms.

Regarding the academy, a total of 37 confirmed patients were found, including 3 people including A and a student who were confirmed earlier because not only 26 students but also 8 family members were infected.

The quarantine authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations assuming that the infection originating from Mr. A has spread to the native family through the native.

The problem is that the infection that started with Mr. A is likely to continue to spread.

Since the 18th of last month, the Seungri Altar has resumed worship services and other activities in accordance with the government policy that allowed up to 10% of the total seats in the metropolitan area.

The Seungri Altar posted a guide on the website on the 16th, saying,’Because the headquarters of the Seungri Altar does not have 10% (of all seats) even if all the members of the headquarters are gathered together, they can worship normally from Monday, January 18th.’ .

This is why it is highly probable that all believers were gathered and worshiped or worked as a group. One resident also explained the situation here, saying, “The ages are varied, but on Saturdays, they flocked.”

Youngsenggyo’s doctrine emphasizes daily regular worship, but it is said that some believers did not wear masks properly during worship.

The quarantine authorities have fully inspected 107 of the 139 members of the Victory Altar, and 5 out of the remaining 32 are in other regions and will be tested locally.

However, 27 untested people refused to receive the test or answer the phone, saying they have not been to the facility for a long time.

The quarantine authorities decided to ask the police to confirm whether these 27 people were infected.

The Youngsenggyo Seungri Altar was established in Bucheon in 1981 by the priest Jo Hee-seong. It operates separate organizations in six areas in Korea and makes’God over the Devil’ the object of faith.

In the 1990s, when suspicions were raised such as a Shindo black burial site and forced to dedicate property, he was investigated by the prosecution. He died of a heart attack in 2004 after being tried for detention on charges such as fraud.

Seungri Altar said on the homepage that day, “We are very sorry and sorry for causing concern for the occurrence of a group infection in the altar dormitory. We will actively cooperate with the measures of the quarantine authorities to prevent the spread of the virus in the near future.” .

Bucheon Mayor Jang Deok-cheon said, “Because of the academy instructor A, who had symptoms from the beginning of February, there is a possibility that an additional confirmed person may come out.” said.
