[이데일리 스타in 김현식 기자] Group BTS (BTS) showed off its solid popularity by holding the grand prize trophy at the Seoul Music Awards for 4 consecutive years.
The 30th High1 Seoul Music Awards was held at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 31st.
On this day, the grand prize trophy went to BTS. BTS received not only the grand prize, but also the best sound source award, best album award, main award, whos fandom award, and Hallyu special award, giving them the spirit of becoming six crowns.
They did not attend the awards ceremony and shared their impressions of the award through a video filmed in advance. After receiving the grand prize, the members expressed their impressions, “I will be able to start fighting overflowing this year as I will receive a prize.”
“I received a big award thanks to the people of’Ami’ (fandom name). “Thank you for supporting me,” he added, “I hope that this year, the Corona 19 situation will improve so that we can be with you.”
On this day, BTS, TWICE, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Kang Daniel, Tomorrow by Together, IZone, ATEEZ, NU’EST, Oh My Girl, NCT127, and Monsta X received this award.
Treasure, Espa, and Enhyphen won the Rookie Award together.
Lim Young-woong, the protagonist of the Trot Frenzy, won the Trot Award and the Popularity Award and won two crowns. Kang Daniel, who received the main prize, also received an additional Fan PD Artist Award and enjoyed the joy of winning two crowns.
The Seoul Music Awards was hosted by Sports Seoul and organized by the Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee. The awards were selected based on sales volume (30%), mobile voting (30%), professional judges and organizing committee results (40%).
The awards ceremony was broadcast live through KBSdrama, KBSjoy, and KBSw channels. The MC was co-hosted by broadcasters Shin Dong-yeop, Girls’ Generation Suyeong, and Super Junior Hee-cheol.
